What do we believe?

We are Christian. To be Christian is to acknowledge that Jesus Christ is our Savior from sin and the Lord of our lives. We are Reformed. About 400 years ago Protestant reformers reclaimed basic Biblical doctrines such as (1) the Bible as supreme authority in the faith and practice of the church, and (2) salvation by grace alone, through faith. To be reformed is to accept the basic principles of the Protestant Reformation as foundational to the church's faith and life. We are part of the Church, the body of all true believers gathered out of the whole human race. We believe that we are part of the holy, universal Church which God is gathering through the power of the Holy Spirit. In addition, you will find the three creeds of the Christian Reformed Church which are the Apostles' Creed, the Nicene Creed, and the Athanasian Creed.
